There was not much between the sides throughout the game. Both sides tried to play passing football. On five minutes a Duma Mansi shot was blocked but the ball fell to Tizi Maninga but the Mickleover keeper ran out to save the strikers shot. On 15 minutes Lawrence-Forbes robbed a defender only to see Mickleovers keeper turn his goal bound shot around for a corner.

Mickleover came close to scoring on 22 minutes when the ball was crossed into the area where a forward headed the ball on and the ball hit a Radford post before going out for a goal kick. Radford did well to keep out Two free kicks awarded just outside the area then the visitors came close with a couple of unchallenged headers from corner kicks. Just before half time the Mickleover keeper did well to dive at the feet of Emmanuel Tchombe before he could shoot for goal. Lawrence-Forbes was played through but under pressure shot wide of goal.

The second half began with both sides putting in some meaty challenges. Mickleover saw their centre forward charge into the Radford area but he chipped wide of the goal.
Both of the Muckleover substitutes came close to opening the scoring before a low drive from Lewis Belgrave put the visitors ahead. Tony Wilson came on for Radford and almost immediately found an equaliser but the keeper kept out his shot with his feet. The game continued to be end to end but neither side could find the back of the net in the remaining minutes. Full Time 0-1.
