Radstock showed in their first half performance why they are hopeful of mounting a meaningful challenge during the coming campaign. They led 1-0 on twenty minutes when George Bendell curled a poor clearance back over the visiting keeper and they could have gone further ahead but the chances went begging and as so often happens when a side doesn't capitalise on its opportunities a defensive error saw the Southern League side scramble an equaliser 5 minutes before half time.
The second half saw the inevitable mass changes and as a consequence the game lost its impetus and Radstock their dominance. A combination of good finishing and questionable defending saw the visitors score 3 times without reply during the period and run out comfortable 4 - 1 winners but it was another good workout for Brett & Nathan's squad and certainly gave supporters plenty of encouragement.
