One of the items in the auction at Rainworth’s Sportsmen’s Evening was a Helicopter ride, kindly donated to the club by Mansfield Town owner John Radford.

Whilst husband, and club secretary Les Lee bid and was successful for the Golf Foursome at Worksop Golf Club, wife Anne had her heart set on the Helicopter ride. Anyone who is married knows when their wife has her mind set on anything she usually gets her way, and so it came as no surprise when the winning bid in the auction came from Anne.

After a number of postponements because of poor visibility, today Anne fulfilled her wish and got to go for her ride in a helicopter.
