Nailers Gesture welcomed by the Wrens

Belper Town have waived the 28 day rule and released defender Jack Andrews, allowing us to sign him in time for Saturday’s game.

We at Rainworth MWFC are very appretiative of the gesture, although not surprised as there has always been a good relationship between the two clubs.

Jack is 20-year-old former Nottingham Forest trainee who had a two-month spell at Boston United in November 2012 where he performed well for the Pilgrims in their Conference North campaign. A tall lad, Jack can play in defence or in midfield and this dual positioning attracted Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law to sign him at the start of the 2013/14 season following his release by Forest.

At the beginning of this campaign he was signed by our Premier League neighbours Belper Town, however he has been unable to break into the team and we are delighted he has decided to join us.
