Rainworth manager Craig Denton and his staff continue the build up to the new season.

Rainworth manager Craig Denton and his staff continue the build up to the new season with two more players Lee Betts and Tim Whittaker committing to the club.

Lee is a strong left sided player and has previously played for Parkgate, Maltby Main and Retford, whilst Tim Whittaker is a defender whose previous clubs have been Sheffield FC and Hallam Fc.

Craig quoted, "We are still talking to players and have a great group of lads returning for pre season. So I'm really happy with the progress , and the pitch looks great so really I just can't wait to get started.

"The target for next season is for us as a club to have stability in terms of players who can continually perform at the NCEL Premier level.

"I haven't come to Rainworth just to potter about I have come to win games and implement a strong winning mentality within the group. Last season the club found themselves in a difficult position towards the end of the season and was fighting a relegation battle. I believe that the recruitment and infrastructure in place that certainly won't be the case this season."
"We certainly haven't got the biggest budget in the league actually far from it, so the recruitment and the players we bring in have to be hungry and want to play for the club.

"For me it's about being realistic and creating strong expectations as a group, for us to be prepared to give it a right good go from the word go and throughout the season."

Pre-Season training starts at Kirklington Road on Monday 26th June with the first friendly on the 11th of July at home against Sherwood Colliery 7.00pm kick-off.
