Rainworth's Pre-Season Continues.
Another step forward and whilst there is room for improvement it whetted the fans appetite for the coming season.
Whilst the score line was only 2-0 to Rainworth against a competitive Clay Cross Town, but for the cross bar and an impressive display by Clay Cross keeper, Matt Bradwell, it could have been much greater.
The passing game is developing and the players look comfortable on the ball and in only their fourth game together they are starting to gel. Granted there is still things to work on and they have yet to meet opposition at NECL level (Mansfield Town apart), this test will come in the next two friendlies.
On the day goals from Lewis Bingham and Max Curzon were enough, but this was not about individuals but a solid team performance, which must have pleased assistant manager Ady Smith.
