Child Welfare 1 of 5

1. Child Welfare

Your child's welfare is the most important factor for you when planning their extra-curricular activities, and is also the most important factor for Ratoath RFC in the running of our club.

When registering with Ratoath RFC for the first time, all players and parents are required to sign up to the IRFU Code of Conduct

Once your child joins the club, they will come under the care of club personnel.

Coaches and Volunteers having direct responsibility for your children have received training on Child Welfare, and on Coaching from the Leinster Branch of the IRFU.
They are signed up to the IRFU Code of Conduct for Coaches, and have been subject to a Garda Vetting check.

Ratoath RFC's Child Welfare Officer is Siobhán Sevestre. Siobhán's role is to:

  • Act at all times in the best interests of Age Grade Players
  • Understand the IRFU Codes of Conduct and Ethics, the IRFU Safeguarding Policy, and the IRFU Child Welfare Policy.
  • Ensure the club sets out to adhere to Codes, Policy, and Guidelines
  • Be the contact person in the club for the Statutory Authorities regarding Child Welfare
