It's that time of year again, when the nights start to draw in and the minis rugby teams awake from their summer slumber (just kidding - do 6-8 year olds EVER sleep!?) and start to get muddy down in Curragha road.
This year, as every year, we are looking for new members at under 7 and under 8 levels.
For parents, if you've never played rugby, doesn't matter. Neither have most of our parents. If you don't know the rules, again it doesn't matter. Rules for minis at the start are different anyway, and can easily be learned.
If your child has not played tots, doesn't matter. He or she will be given the warmest of welcomes every Saturday at 12:30. If you were born between 2009 and 2011, and you can run, that is pretty much all you need to start a glittering rugby career here in Ratoath. You'll make new friends, have a great time on Saturdays, play the odd blitz against local clubs (when we are ready) and of course get good and muddy if you want!
Why not come down some Saturdays and join in, or at least take a look?
A typical session for minis has some warm up games (like bulldog), some basic skills games, and a variety of mildly competitive matches to keep everybody warm.
We also do some group activities like attend Leinster games together - something that parents and kids love.
So why not give it a try? (See what I did there??)
We'd love to see you in Curragha Road, Saturdays at 12:30.
