Following a recruitment drive in the local area the Club has attracted 14 girls to form a new element to the club, with the aim of widening cricket participation within the community. The Club committed to this as part of its successful application for funding from Sport England to upgrade and expand its changing room facility, which includes the provision of a separate female changing room. Thanks must go to the junior coaches and members who have promoted this initiative particularly Becky Hopkinson, we also welcome Izzy Bunn, who in addiiton to playing for the club is heading up the coaching of the girls as part of her PE course. We are looking forward to the girls team going from strength to strength and becoming an integral part of the clubs cricketing actvities
