HAT-TRICK for T. RPV5 Bedfont&Feltham 2
HAT-TRICK for TARYN, 2 for JACK
Raynes Park Vale F.C. 5 vs Bedfont & Feltham F.C. 2 (HT 3-1)
Saturday 23rd September 2017 K.O. 3:00 PM
Combined Counties League Division One
We did enough to get the valuable 3 points. Didn't play our best I suppose
but you can't say that about the clinical finishing.
Hat-trick for T. Taryn on Fire!
Centre forward Taryn Smith did his lone striking role almost to perfection,
scoring a first half hat-trick! I don't know when the Vale last scored a hat-trick
but it probably wasn't in our poor 2016/17 season, so at least a year and a bit.
The 1st came on 2 minutes from just outside the 6 yard box after some neat open play
from our attacking midfield trio of Seanan Mckillop, Eoin Fraser and Jack Williamson.
T's second came on 9 minutes to make it 2-1 as Bedfont & Feltham had the temerity to
equalise straight after the restart on 3 minutes. More open play and a side footed assist pass right
from skipper Jerome Smart to Taryn on his left who larruped home across the keeper from 8 yards.
On 19 minutes Seanan Mckillop was brought down whilst on a dangerous dribble across the oppo's D.
Ref David Crick blew for a Penalty. Taryn steps up to take. He side foots hard to his right but B&F 'keeper Keadhall
reads the pen and gets down low to palm away around the post for corner.
A goal to befit a Hat-trick. The best of the 3 on 39 minutes. Taryn picks up the ball in the centre circle, goes on a mazy run
past a couple of oppo defenders towards the D where he shoots from 20 yards. The shot is hard and stays low, skips on the pitch
and over Bedfont & Feltham 'keepers outstretched palm into the back of the onion bag. Get in. Hat trick complete.
Not only is Jack Williamson on an awesome scoring run. Not only did Jack score the first ever goal
in the new RPV RackServers home kit versus Cove. (A stunning turn and lift into the top of the net that will be forever seared into my footy consciousness) He also provided a 2nd half brace here to bring the
points home. On 50 minutes he toe poked home from a fair distance
after the keeper had been left stranded after good open play from Raynes Park to make it
4-1. Assist from our always involved, midfield maestro Seanan Mckillop.
Jack's 2nd goal came on 85 minutes to make the game safe after Bedfont & Feltham
had scored on 70 minutes. A goal to behold involving 3 players. Taryn 9 attacked with the ball on the left, played in Eoin Fraser 11 who had timed his run into the box. Eoin controlled & turned in the 6 yard box and had the vision to unselfishly pass back to the D to tee up his long time team mate Jack who had been observing the attack all along, waiting to pounce. Jack hit a lovely side foot high and fast in to the roof of the net. A great finish.
RPV Under 18 wonder Paul Osew came on unfortunately too late in the game to shine on 88 minutes.
Very much looking forward to seeing Paul twist and turn past defenders in a 1st team game soon.
MOTM went to Taryn Smith. How can you ignore the man that has G G G against his name.
The squad is looking strong guys. The spirit seems great too. Always is after a win I suppose.
I think we can give any one a game now on our day. We have a lot of attacking options
Goals are coming from all over the park, not just one player and we have players vying for places.
Could be an interesting season guys. I'm just sayin'

1st team player statistics are all up & online now. Please note these seem weighted towards forwards
(i.e. goals & assists) and are kind of unfair on defenders and holding midfielders.*
The points system is devised by Pitchero, not me. What do they say? Lies, damned lies and statistics.
It's a team game after all.
*Man of the match awards are totally impartial. Going rate a pint or 2 cigarettes.

I was too far away to describe Befont & Feltham's 2 goals. I know they doubled their
seasons goal tally against us. Wishing them better luck for the rest of the season.

Thanks for coming guys and for the tweet help.
My camera was pretty messed up, so low in photos this week
& apologies to T & Jack for not videoing goals. Best made plans & all that.
Hope to get that rectified as the season progresses.
