Sat 7th April 2018, 3pm kick off
Combined Counties League Division 1
Venue: Bagshot FC play at Fleet Spurs ground in Farnborough.
League position before game 9th v 19th. 8th & 19th after result.
Weather: mild, dry, not raining for once.
Vale played in Away Yellow shirts but with our home royal blue shorts and away navy blue stockings.
Goals:
1-0 24' Byron Douglas-Letts. Takes it past a defender then rounds the 'keeper to slot home.
Half time.
2-0 80' OG. Jack Williamson assist. Off Bagshot defenders chest at close range.
3-0 83' Jack Williamson penalty saved but Jack is quick to follow up and tap in the rebound.
4-0 93' Tom Harland-Goddard. Great shot to top right hand corner from 25 yards. A super strike. On the short list for Vale goal of the season.
Vale had loads of possesion in the first half. Lots of corners and free kicks but went in at half time
just the one goal up. Bagshot played well in the 2nd half but Vale finally secured the points late on.
Centre back Danny Alderton was injured and midfielder Eoin Fraser was away so a few changes this week.
Great to see club captain Jerome Smart back after a bit of paternity leave. Many congratulations Jerome
Fantastic to see Pat Gibson back. Played at right centre back instead of upfront.
Pat had a headed effort in the net but disallowed in the first half.
Seanan Mckillop was nursing a knock I think so was on the bench for 85 minutes.
Louie Stanton-Cockle takes a very nice free kick and corner. Skilful too, which is nice.
Man of the Match goes to Nathan Lewis who played great in central midfield as opposed to his normal left sided defence.
*chosen by manager Gavin Bolger & chairman Paul Bentley.
2018 ok. Looking alright. ok a bit more than alright. Anyway, we got some games coming up.

Question:
Is it classified as a penalty scored if the 'keeper saves the pen but the pen taker nips in and tucks away the rebound?
Or is that classed as being back in open play?
