KO 14:30 - Past Players Day. 200th Appearance for Alex Dorliac.

READING v AYLESBURY SAT FEBRUARY 16 2019 KO 2.30

On Saturday Reading welcome AYLESBURY to Holme Park for their Southern Counties South league game, kick off 2.30 pm. Aylesbury currently lie in 5th place, with 44 points, while Reading are in 8th position with 35.

The game will be a big one for centre Alex Dorliac who becomes just the fourth Reading player to reach the total of 200 matches played in the league era, which began in 1987. He has been remarkably consistent, and loyal to Reading, over a total of eleven seasons, scoring 110 tries in his 199 games to date. Overall he has notched up 572 points, adding ten successful kicks to his tries. Check out the FB page for a link to see some of his past tries.

Before the game there is a past players’ lunch so it is anticipated that a number of players who have been Dorliac’s team mates over the years will be there to support the occasion.

This is just the second season that Reading and Aylesbury have met in a league fixture and so far the results have all gone in favour of the Buckinghamshire side. In addition Aylesbury’s record away from home is better than their home form this season, with five games won out of eight. One of their four wins at home was against Reading when a good contest ended 24-17 in their favour.

Reading team: Stuart Borthwick; Will Proctor Searle, George Dear, Grant Spears, Chris Greig; Alex Dorliac, Lewis Bowers; Josh Pallett, Alex Watson, Steve Orwin, Andy Parr, Ryan Smith, Gavin Egan, Fraser Koefman, Rob Cunningham Replacements: Ollie O’Toole, Ben Wills, Juillaume Janin
