A lot has changed for the Vikings coming into the 2018/19 season...
New training schedule, new coach, new game plan, new players and 11 teams in our league (normally its 9). After the success we had last season (finishing 3rd in the league) we have been re-building over the off season, Influential players - Vice Captain Brent Lee and tough Irishman Gavin Egan are steaking their claims to 1st XV honours. No nonsense Ben Carter, HRH Harry King and the beautiful Mike Hadley have left the club unfortunately. The quiet Dan Starkey, injured himself in pre-season training and is out of action until November/December and we will be losing our favourite German/French/English lover Alex Spencer soon until the New Year!
This means that the remaining players from last season and the new guys that have joined over the summer have been working hard to get to know each other on and off the field. Accepting the responsibilities of Captain & Vice Captain for the season are Lewis Donnelly & James Millar and they are growing into their roles more each day.

We start our BBO 3 league campaign away against Witney III's (KO 15:00) on Saturday. When asked about the upcoming fixture, skipper Lewis had this to say - ''The Vikings are on the road for our first league fixture of the 2018/19 season. We are looking to replicate the same success as last season, narrowly missing out on promotion. We travel to league newcomers Witney III's on the back of a strong friendly win last weekend against Slough II's (14-44) and we want to keep the momentum going. We have many new players keen to prove themselves in the team, so this season will be hotly contested for starting spots! First, a W at Witney will set the tone for the season ahead!! #LETSGOVIKINGS''
