Friday night Footy!!

1st quarter
Rebels started off strongly winning majority of the stoppages thanks to Hands and Jimmy putting there head over the pill and taking some big hits. The rebels managed 3 majors in the first quarter with swanny and udai kicking their first goals for the club but the Roos hit back with 2 of there own late in the quarter.

3.2.20 - 2.0.12

2nd quarter
More of the same in the 2nd with spencer and Fabs presenting well up front.
The Roos started to win more contests which put the rebels back line under some pressure.
Big “Rex” on his debut - who was very impressive - took a nice high flying mark in the goal square and kicked truely for his first goal for the club.

5.5.34 - 6.3.39

3rd quarter
The Rebels had dominated most of the possession in the 3rd quarter with Swanny kicked his 2nd for the day but other then that the rebels missed some really good opportunities and the Roos punished them.
Inside 50s in the 3rd was 22-6 in the rebels favour which shows how dominant yet ineffective they were in front of the goals.

6.7.43 - 9.3.57

4th quarter
By the last quarter it looked like the rebels were struggling to keep up with the Roos who were kicking some freakish goals and running over the rebels around the ground.
The Roos kicked away and were eventual winners by a flattering 32 points

6.10.46 - 12.6.78

Game summary
Frustrating game for the rebels which was similar to round 1 where they had more of the ball, more inside 50s yet unable to show that on the scoreboard. The rebels will improve over the course of the year with a lot of key players out and new blokes still learning the game. The competition looks very even compared to previous seasons.
Roos are now 3-0 equal top with Ottawa swans and Toronto eagles.

Next week the rebels head to Guelph searching for there first win of 2018.
