Who's that Rookie? - Part 1
First installment of a new weekly article allowing players to get to know their teammates better. This week we take a look at Jake MacDonald.
This year for the Rebels has seen a huge influx of new rookies and as such I've felt that it would be good for everyone to get to know a bit about them so I give to you Part 1 of Whose that Rookie!
This week we look at Jake MacDondald from Downsview Park.
So Jake, how did you hear about footy and the Rebels?
I heard about footy through scooter we work togethere as steel fabricators
What do you enjoy about the sport most so far?
What i enjoy about the sport is the adrenaline rush i get from smashing the opposing team as well as the team effort everyone puts forth. The Rebels also keep the energy levels high in the team keeping the wins in sight and make us push our bodys more more.
When did you start playing footy and for what team?
I started playing footy this year for the Rebels, I started attending practices weekly and i was lucky enough to make 1st division. Proving that iam capable to play the sport though im no legend i can only improve and push myself futher along.
How do you think the Rebels will do this season?
I think this season the Rebels will surprise the oppents and ourselves there is no lack of talent on our team and we train hard. We started out good winning our first game with many more to come. Only time will tell.
What is your favorite Rebel moment so far?
My favorite Rebels moment would have to be my first game, not knowing what i was getting myself into. I was both nervous and pumped it was great to finally get out there on the feild after all those weeks of practice kicking the shit out of me.
Footy clubs are full of characters, name a Rebel you think falls in this category and why?
My teammates are all great and all different, its good to see to countries come together in a sport and poke fun at each other. But i may have to say Frenchy, half the time you dont know what the hell he is saying and he just stands out in the group.
Thanks Jakey, keep up the good work!
