Press Secretary Adam Dennehey puts the questions to one half of our management team Steve Portway.

What are the expectations for the season ahead?

We have a young side and we have high expectations for them and us to enjoy our football throughout the season.

What kind of style will the side be playing this season. What can our fans expect to see?

For most of the players it will be their first time playing at this level, we will be competitive, youthful and expressive.

What have you learned from your playing-career that will and has helped you as a coach?

Like in life people’s needs are different. It’s all about finding what makes them tick.

Obviously your relationship with Del is going to be important this year. What are Del's main qualities as a coach and how long have you known him for?

Del’s very knowledgeable about football and people. He’s an honest person who gives his all.

Looking ahead to the start of the season, it doesn't get any bigger than us facing Romford first up away in the league. You used to play for 'The Boro' - what does it mean for you to be facing an old side of yours first up?

I have very fond memories of playing for Romford. Every game though is a big game from the first to the last.

Lastly the FA Cup and Trophy draws have been made. What do you know about our opponents in both competitions and how important are both competitions for you?

For players, managers and fans the FA Cup and FA Trophy games are a bonus because you have a chance to show what you can do against teams of different levels. Del and I will be getting information about all the teams we are due to play.
