Manager Terry Spillane has made three further signings to take our squad so far up to 14 players ahead of the 2011/12 season.

Those who put pen-to-paper on Monday are players of real quality - Andy Oxby, Jamie Haywood and Mark Nougher.

Oxby, capable of playing as a central defender or in midfield, was greatly admired by Terry at his former outfit, Essex Senior Leaguers Stansted, where he was also awarded the captaincy.

Oxby's CV is extremely good and he had a good spell with our local rivals Romford playing a huge part in their Essex Senior League championship season en-route to a successful transfer to the Ryman League.

Oxby alike his brother Richard also was on the books of Norwich City as a schoolboy. Richard was last playing for Grays last season.

Haywood is predominantly a skillful, left-sided front runner with good pace and attitude towards the game. Terry knows about Haywood from managing him at Stansted and the midfielder has good experience in our division having played for Waltham Forest last season.

Nougher completes the trio of new signings. Alike Oxby he was on also on the books at Norwich City as well as having experience at Arsenal, Erith & Belvedere and has played for us before before leaving at the start of last season.

Nougher is a central hard-working midfielder of real class and Spillane was delighted to obtain his signature. Our new manager is happy with the way our squad is coming along saying: “We are really putting the work in behind the scenes. My latest additions will strengthen our belief still further.”
