It was beautiful, spectacular even. One might compare it to the moment Usian Bolt skipped over the Olympic finishing line or when Westlife scored their first number 1. This was an event of immense proportions.... I scored a goal.

Now some might say that my blundering, accidentally on purpose hit could not be compared to the swift and deft talents of Meenal who managed to weave her way round the opposition to score two goals but I would say that you're wrong. The best thing about writing a match report is that you get to pick the important bits and the important bit was my goal. However, in the interests of fair reporting some other important bits are set out below.

The ladies 2s/3s played East London B and triumphed to a victory of 3-1. A shout out has to be made to the wonderful Mrs B who put down the clipboard and donned her reds at a moment's notice to join us, to Max and Shernell for some seriously impressive runs and for getting us out of some sticky situations and to Emma "I will smack you in the face with this ball" Smith. Chloe and Serena both had impressive performances and were joined by the more experience hands of Becks, Christine, Sally and Sam who showed real determination to win. A great match all in all and a well deserved win. Most of all though, we shouldn't forget that I scored.
