A big improvement today boys! We started out a little slow, this might have been something to do with running 8 furlongs round the race track prior to the game, but missed tackles and lack of confidence showed and Thirsk within 5 minutes scored two good tries, but we never gave up and the next try for Thirsk took some time. The game changed when we put Thirsk under increasing pressure and scored two tries via Josh and Patrick, but Thirsk ended the 1st half with another well worked try. Second half was different, we started strong and put a lot of pressure on Thirsk but tackling let us down and Thirsk scored but Redcar responed and ran in another try, there was a stalemate for sometime and Thirsk scored two late tries but all in all it was a great game to watch. Mom was Ben Turner and mini Manders, diddle of the day was the coach for telling the team to run round the horse track to warm up not thinking that they would actually try and do it. Well done boys see you all on Wednesday. |
