To say that it has been a busy start to the season is an understatement. Redcar 1st have been working overtime to help secure 2nd place in the lead up to last weekends break, however the next five games, with the lead up to Christmas is crucial for RRUFC.

This weekend the 1st XV hit the road with a trip to Bishop Auckland. Last season Redcar pipped Bishop at home, however, in the return fixture, it was Bishop who took the points. Neil Young's side will be looking to learn from last year and push for another W for Redcar.

The Mariners, well what can we say, they have had a false start to the season, having 3 games cried off by the opposition and one game cancelled by us, things just haven't got off the ground for them.

West Hartlepool TDSOB have rejoined the Tees Valley Social League this season and have their first trip to Mackinlay Park in store this week when they take on The Mariners.
