Reds bolster squad with double signing

Redditch United is pleased to announce the signings of Edji Mbunga and Adam Page.

Mbunga, 20, joins from Hednesford Town and is reunited with Reds boss, Tim Harris, who worked with the striker at Gloucester City. The former Birmingham City youth prospect will add pace and versatility to the Redditch squad, and Harris is delighted to add Mbunga to his striking options:

“Edji has bags of enthusiasm, and he is determined to improve his game and the squad. He will certainly give us a different dimension, and I am thrilled to have gained his signature.”

Page, meanwhile, joins on-loan from League Two side, Cheltenham Town. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder had spent the first-half of the season with Hereford FC, but he now moves to The TRICO and will be available to play against Hereford in the Evo-Stik South –
Premier encounter on New Year’s Day, along with Mbunga.

Harris said he was thrilled to attract the skilful forward to the club, and he believes Page will be desperate to impress after a serious knee injury ruled him out for the 2016/2017 season:

“Adam has been unlucky with injury, but he is a very talented young man. He’s an exciting talent with a good future, and I am delighted to have him available – starting with the eagerly-anticipated clash with Hereford.”
