The Reds' look to get back to winning ways this Saturday!

Redditch United First-Team Manager, Tim Harris, believes a mixture of new additions and returning squad players from injury can help propel The Reds to victory on Saturday when the they welcome Basingstoke Town to The TRICO (3pm KO).

Several new additions have been integrated into the squad over recent weeks, including midfielder, Jed Davies, who joined the club earlier this week from Tamworth on a one-month loan deal, while members of the first-team are making returns from their respective injuries.

Redditch United are looking to record their first league win since January, and The Reds’ boss is excited at the prospect of playing two fixtures in quick succession and sending supporters home with smiles on their faces.

“With two home games in four days (Basingstoke Town on Saturday and Gosport Borough on Tuesday evening), we have the perfect opportunities to improve our league position with some positive performances and results.

“We certainly will be taking nothing for granted, though, as any team must earn the right to win a football match, and I hope that our supporters can play their part by getting behind the team – as they always do.”

Basingstoke Town, meanwhile, are on a decent run of form; boss Terry Brown has overseen a three-match unbeaten stretch, with The Dragons earning a point against Banbury United last time out.

Redditch can go level on points with Basingstoke, though, with a victory but are unlikely to overhaul them due to an inferior goal difference. Both sides last met in September, and it was Town that ran-out comfortable winners, so the Reds and their supporters will be hoping for a reverse scoreline on Saturday afternoon.
