Mark Endsleigh's U18s picked up their third league win of the season against local rivals Horley, the Reds controlled the game from start to finish and could of been out of sight before half time but were wasteful in front of goal.
The majority of the first period was played in the visitors half, with chances coming thick and fast, the Lobsters were either wasteful or found the Horley keeper in good form. Horley would have grown in confidence as they went into the break all square.
The pattern of the game didn't alter after the interval as the Reds continued to press for that elusive goal, they didn't have as many clear cut chances but should of still made their dominance count. The visitors went down to 10 men with 15 minutes to play, the Horley man shown a second yellow card.
Eventually the youngsters found the goal that they thoroughly deserved, Ben Telfer drove into space before rifling his shot low into the corner with 6 minutes left. A minute later the Reds wrapped up the points when Nathan Hopkins finished neatly after a mix up in the Horley defence.
It could of been a frustrating evening for the young Lobsters but they showed great patience and finally got what they wanted.
