REDS EASE THROUGH
A Tony Halsey double helped Redhill into the next round of the Emirates FA Cup.
A dominant Redhill took their place in the next round of the FA Cup, with a convincing win over St Francis Rangers in a home tie played at the Sussex club's ground.
The game started quite evenly with both teams trying to assert their authority. But it was Redhill who found the early initiative on 9 minutes, Marlon Pinder producing some great work down the right before feeding Declan Smith who fired home.
The Lobsters took control thereafter and two minutes later it was 2-0 as Kery Kedze found some space on the left hand side of the box and smashed in his fourth goal of the week, following his hat trick on Tuesday.
Although the Reds were the dominant force Rangers got back into the game on 21 minutes, when Rhys White looped a shot over Jindrich Vokaty in the Reds goal to make it 2-1.
Redhill didn't panic though and Tony Halsey regained the Reds two goal cushion going into half time, calmly slotting over the advancing Jordan Markey.
After the break the Reds continued to dictate and play some lovely attractive free flowing football, resulting in Tony Halsey scoring his second and Redhill's fourth, when getting onto another through ball showing great balance and feet before finishing neatly under Markey in the Rangers goal.
It could have been more by the end with Luke Jones hitting the underside of the bar and the Reds battling all the way to the final whistle, proving that their pre season had paid off, they start their league campaign next Saturday away at Frimley in good form and good spirits.
