It was splendid to hear at Saturday’s lunch that the committee has elected Mike Williams a Life Member for outstanding service to the club.Mike joined the club in 1966 under the captaincy of Dennis Jones and soon became first team scrum half.He won the Roland Huggins Tackling Cup and on retiring as a player he became the club sponge man and physio. He remains a loyal member of the Friday Club after more than 50 years.
