Message from Mike Hopkins - Operations Manager.

Can I please ask you to cascade to your teams / ages Groups that with immediate effect the old back stairs into the club house will no longer be an entrance way and will only be used as a fire exit, the stairs onto the terrace will be out of bounds until suitable paving is laid at the base. Signage will be put up in due course but we need to start this practice now.

The only ways in will be via the front door or the rear ground floor doors by the shop. This should enable us to manage the facility better, it will take a while for people to get to used to the new ways but ultimately it will be much better.

Please also cascade the need to remove boots and dirty kit before coming into the clubhouse . Parents in particular need to take responsibility for their children and stop them from running around the club house/ terrace and stairs and using it as a race track, last weekend it was particularly noticeable how much mud they managed to bring in and spread around the walls in a short space of time.

We don’t want to stop kids having fun but they must respect the facilities, it costs us a lot of money to clean up after each session and a little help from parents in keeping dirty boots and kit out of the upstairs club house and kids under control will help immensely.

We would like to encourage all age groups to clean up before coming upstairs to eat / drink, we will have plenty of changing rooms available soon and in due course we will set aside a changing room every Sunday for the minis to use so that they can change before coming up stairs should they wish to do so.

I need the cooperation of all coaches and parents to ensure that the old practices cease and the news ones start, it’s in the best interests of everyone to keep the club, particularly upstairs as clean as possible.

I thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Mike Hopkins
