2 tries in each half sealed the win for the Titans, however they had to battle to the end against a well drilled and physical Blackheath team.

The performance pleased Head Coach Spike Henderson, “I’m more than happy with that, it was a great team performance with some exceptional individual performances to.

I’m slightly disappointed that we let Blackheath score at the end and we didn’t score any points when they were down to 13, that said I would’ve taken this result before the start of the game”.

Blackheath were first to break the deadlock, capitalising on some loose ball in the Redingensians 22, scoring under the posts, taking a 7-0 lead. They then squandered a try scoring opportunity and it was this that shook the Titans into life.

Tries from Chris Horne on 34 minutes and Chris Morgan on 37 minutes, the second a great team try, converted by Andy Webb meant the Titans taking a 12-7 half time lead.

Second half tries from Tym Rees on 55 minutes and Connor Stapley on 61 with conversions and a penalty from Andy Webb extended the Titans into a 29-7 lead.
