Positive Attitude Around The Club Despite Tough Starts For Both Senior Teams.
Reepham Town are very much alive and kicking despite poor starts to their respective campaigns.
The reserves currently find themselves second from bottom in Division 4 of the Anglian Combination but have delivered some decent performance to lift some of the gloom surrounding the points total. It's always difficult being a reserve team as you are dictated to by the requirements of the first team but the team spirit remains good despite the challenging times. Manager Beau Howard has done a great job in utilising the squad he has available to him which has left players playing out of position on a good few occasions. Is this a negative or a great learning curve for some of the young players involved??? Given some of the encouraging individual performances he's witnessed the answer is positive from the club's point of view!
The first team find themselves a little adrift at the bottom of the Anglian Combination Premier Division. The players have had to cope with two changes of managers in the space of three months and it also must be taken into account that it's been difficult to get a settled team out onto the pitch with major changes to the team for each game making it almost impossible to create an understanding on the pitch regarding the philosophy of football the management have decided to adopt. Reading and understanding it is one thing but putting into practice is something totally different and it takes time.
There is a fine line between winning and losing and on numerous occasions we've found ourselves a fraction on the wrong side. And as always when you are in the position we find ourselves in luck doesn't come your way.
Looking forward we are very positive as a club as we have a squad who are talented and willing to learn. Yes times are tough at the moment but the structure is in place with the new management team making sure that the players continue to develop individually and as a team.
Looks can deceive but Reepham Town FC are up for the challenge. It's a results business at the end of the day but the loyalty and desire the squad has will hold them in good stead for the coming months ahead.
