We kicked off with the Ladies Singles between regular 1st teamer Louise Targett and newcomer and now 2nd/3rd teamer Amy Braund. After a tight 1st set just edged by Amy 6-4, she found the 2nd set a little easier and eased past Louise 6-1 in the 2nd.

At the same time the Mens Doubles developed into a good match - 4th teamers with veteran Kevin Horlock and a youthful Dan Jackson eventually overcame Peter Sheridan & Mick Little 6-3 2-6 6-1 - winning the match with 2 severe net cords in succession!!

The Ladies Doubles match was full of really great rallies with Louise Targett and Janet Kenny overcoming Vicki Partington & Alison Newman in the 3rd set.

Next up was the mens singles featuring Paddy Hunter-Murphy and Dan Jackson and a long 3-set match for them and the freezing spectators ensued. Paddy finally triumphed 7-5 3-6 6-4 and finally we had the mixed doubles with Amy Braund & Frank Dudley overcoming last year's champions - Brett & Vicky Mackay in straight sets.

A good day was had by all - thanks to Derek for running the bar and to Mike Davies for also providing a Thai green curry for lunch.
