Because of the large number of Junior Finals that needed to be played, matches started at 9:00 am and continued throughout the day with the final match finishing at just after 6:30 pm.

It was lovely to see such are large crowd throughout the day watching all the matches which were played on courts 1 -5.

We were lucky to have fine weather for most of the day except for our torrential downpour mid- afternoon and it was testament to our new court surfaces that they dried out very quickly and caused minimum delay in the day’s proceedings.

A big thank you should go to all the players for producing some fine and exciting tennis and to the team of umpires who volunteered their services, sometimes beyond the call of duty.

Also a big thank you to Mike Davis for organising the BBQ and Bar who was ably assisted by members of the Junior Committee and to Sarah Pearson and her team in the Kitchen.

All winners received engraved trophies and the runner-up/third places received engraved medals. Thank you to Deborah Hamlin and later in the afternoon Nicki Constant for presenting the trophies and medals.
