REIGATE RUGBY CLUB ARE ONE WEEK AWAY FROM THEIR FIRST GAME OF THE 2016/17 SEASON - A JUNIOR VASE TIE IN SOUTHAMPTON, AND PREPARATIONS OVER THE SUMMER COULD NOT HAVE GONE BETTER.

With a new Senior Coach having been appointed at the start of the summer pre-season, Reigate’s First Team are looking forward to another successful and competitive season in Surrey League 3.
Matt Vickery has joined the club with a wealth of experience, having developed rugby at St Bede’s school over the last 12 years, where he is also a teacher, as well as coach of the Surrey Under-15 Development Squad.

Having led the pre-season, Matt has said “I’ve been really impressed with what I’ve seen of the club so far, having received a very warm welcome it's clear that Reigate RFC has community at its heart. I look forward to fully immersing myself in the club, and enabling it to build on the successes both on and off the pitch that it has enjoyed in the past.”
Several new players have contributed to the atmosphere at the Colley Lane ground, and with two competitive teams in regular action this year, and a social Vets side, the club really has been growing from strength to strength in recent years and offers rugby for all abilities.

With Mini and Youth sections having also been successfully developed in recent years, there is now a seamless chain from U7’s through to Senior level rugby.

With a great evening of rugby and BBQ planned from 7pm it certainly will be one to put into diary!
