Just a point for the Remy in a tight affair against Chadderton

A 2-2 draw between Litherland REMYCA and Chadderton was probably a fair result after a game not short of excitement. Four goals, a sending off and several chances for both sides gave an entertaining football match for the supporters who flocked to LSP this Saturday afternoon.

After Chadderton took the lead from a ruthless counter attack in the first half, Remy didn't learn their lesson and were hit in a similar fashion to concede their second of the game - falling 2-0 down early in the second half.

Chadderton received a sending off shortly after Jake Connor converted a header from a whipped cross on behalf of Colin Quirk, who continued his scintillating form from last week, when David Flynn had a two footed challenge thrust at him.

Seizing the opportunity of being a man up, Remy threw everything they had at Chadderton, which included Francis Barry hitting the crossbar and Niall Gannon firing wide.

Eventually, they equalised when a driven cross was met inside the area by Lennon Whewell.

Ultimately, Chadderton defended extremely well and held onto a point, which they deserved following their first half showing and their rearguard display second half.
