Litherland REMYCA youth are holding trials for footballers in school year 11 and 12 to potentially join the club.

The club's pathway, which results in a first team place and a chance to play in the North West Counties Football League, has already produced players such as Lennon Whewell and Niall Gannon to name but two.

The first trial is to be held on Tuesday 20th June 2017 at 7pm (for a 7.15pm start) with a second opportunity on Saturday 24th June 2017 at 10.45am (for an 11am start).

The location is South Sefton College, Sterrix Lane, Litherland, L30 2DB.

Opportunites include playing for both Saturday and Sunday teams, with all players and positions of the correct age welcome to join.

After speaking with new manager Paul McNally in his first full interview as REMYCA boss, he has expressed his desire to utilise the pathway for his first team.

Head of Youth Development at REMYCA Colin Begbie emphasised this to potential youth players, stating, "Our club has a proven track record of giving youth team players a chance to progress to the North West Counties Level.

"Our new manager, Paul McNally, as already stated his support for the club's pathway".

Colin expressed his view of how great of an opening for young players this is, adding, "This is a great opportunity for lads to progress to a very high level outside academy football.

"We have good quality and experienced coaches in place and will look to deliver the calibre of players required at a semi-pro environment".
