Certainly an honour for me personally. I've been with the club since I was a junior and it's a culmination of coming through the ranks. Hopefully we as a team can take the club to the next level.

Ahmad Said has re-joined the club as a coach.
How important will it be to have an experienced player like Ahmad to turn to for advice?

Ahmad is a club legend and it's fantastic to have him back. His experience will be vital on and off the field, especially with our extensive schools coaching programme.

How has the pre season training gone and do you feel that you have a team capable of challenging for promotion?

Ryan Murray

The guys have put in a lot of hard work throughout the winter. We are placing a lot of faith in our youngsters this year and deservedly so. The club feels a happier place this year and I'm hoping to use this positive attitude to achieve our potential.

Obviously there has been a few comings and goings from the club in terms of players since the end of last season. How has the player recruitment process gone and do you feel you may still need to add to the playing squad?

Ryan Murray

There has been a bit of an overhaul but this change is seen as a positive. As well as the return of Ahmad, we also welcome back Shahid Abassi, who gives us an exciting all-round option. We are hoping to bring in an overseas amateur in the next few days. That and the promotion of in form juniors, means that the group is hungrier than ever this year.

What are your personal and team goals for this season?

Ryan Murray

Personally, I'd like to contribute as much as I can, but mainly I want to make sure the guys are ready for each game, so they can play to the best of their ability.

Do you have a message for the players in terms of your expectations of them this season?

Ryan Murray

As long as each player gives 100%, I won't ask for more. If we play to the level I know we can then we will be there or thereabouts come the final day of the season.
