Hutchinson, 33 travels over the river Trent from local Town Gainsborough. However he is well known in Retford through the many years playing against Retford clubs especially against the Gaffer. He is really enjoying his time at the moment at Retford Football Club.

"It was a great feeling from the offset to get back involved with a club with ambition" said Hutchinson "It is clear that the off field work behind the scenes demonstrates the clubs vision,which hopefully I can support on the field"

"All the gaffa asks of us on the field is 100% from each and every player. The team has a good balance at present in terms of youth and experience and with the with the recent addition of a couple of experienced quality players we should be pushing for promoting and challenging for silverware. All I would say at present is we now need to get a consistency within the team."

Hutchinson has his own aspirations has he explains.

"On a personal note, I knew I needed to get fit to allow myself to play back at the standard, which I thank the gaffa for the opportunity to make that happen.
I would say my performances so far have been ok, always room to improve. I would like to set myself a goal target of 10- 15 for the season which so far I have managed to get on the score sheet a couple of times.
Its all now about getting our heads down and taking one game at a time,improving week in week out and reducing the errors which has cost us a few valuable points early in the season."
