Manager Chris Woodhead spoke very enthusiastically about the news tonight.
"The club need to continue their philosophy with the development of local players and filling the void between youth football and senior football. This is a small step with that philosophy but we will eventually make strides towards further teams in the future. This team have been together for many years under the guidance of local coach Stuart Goodall who is very keen to join us. Myself, Kev and the committee will sit down with Stuart very soon."

The club have also been in talks with other local clubs and teams about football in Retford and with Retford FC being Charter standard it opens lots of possibilities for future development.

The club will make a further statement in the near future.
