Charter Day Fun...

The Badgers were represented with a stand at Retford Charter Day where thousands of people visit the town on a May Day Bank Holiday for fun and frolics in the Market Square and Kings Park.

This year, the Baris NCEL Premier Division Champions were represented in the park with the League Trophy on display, along with a Tombola, Lucky Dip and Penalty Shootout Competition which was well attended throughout the day.

A visit from Brett Marshall, Carl Haslam, Chris Baugh and Adam Scott gave fans a chance to congratulate their heroes on the success.

A total of almost £400 was raised on the day which was a superb total to be added as we prepare for the new season.

The club are currently in discussions with the Evo-Stik League and the FA regarding promotion after winning the League Championship. It is hoped that we will have further news on this in the coming week.

I would like to thank everybody who came and supported us today. The interest in the club was great. Would like to thank Peter and Jennifer for running the Tombola and Lucky Dip and also a big thank you to York City for the loan of the shoot out.
Would love to see some of the support at Cannon Park next year.
    Up the Badgers!!
