Club confirm Marshall departure...

Retford United FC have confirmed that Manager Brett Marshall has left the club after only a season in charge at Cannon Park.

Marshall announced his intention to resign earlier in the season due to the off-field situation at the club, and despite positive efforts being made to stabilize the situation, last weeks news that Retford United would not be promoted after lifting the Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division title forced Marshall to finally decide to leave and look for opportunities at a higher level.

Retford United would like to thank Brett for a superb season, bringing together a superb team spirit and great set of players and coaching team, and would like to wish him all the best for the future.

This has been a very successful, but challenging season, and the feats that Brett and his squad have attained will go down in Badgers history.
