Tuesday's Friendly...

Tuesday's Friendly... image

...the Friendly saga continues!!

The recent spell without a game with friendlies being arranged for Brett Marshall's men to get a run out has taken another twist this evening.

With the first friendly against Thoresby CW being called off due to a frozen pitch, the Worksop game being replaced with Brigg Town due to Worksop's involvement in the FA Trophy and the subsequent waterlogged pitch, it was hoped that Blue Square North side Gainsborough Trinity would provide the opposition next Tuesday.

Unfortunatley, we have this evening been informed that Gainsborough will be unable to fulfil the fixture, but the Management Team have moved swiftly to get a game in it's place.

Evo-Stik League Division One South table toppers CARLTON TOWN will now visit Cannon Park on Tuesday evening (31st) in a hastily arranged game which will give Brett Marshall a chance to give his side a run out, testing them against a side a league higher.

Carlton sit at the top of the table after a resounding 8-0 win away at Quorn on Saturday which was preceeded with a 7-1 home win against Leek Town the previous week - 15 goals in their last two games! - This should provide a stern test for the United defence!

The match will kick off at 7.45pm with admission set at £4 Adult and £2 Concession (U14 FREE with accompanying adult).

Please come along and support the Badgers !
