U19s Open Campaign Tonight
After what feels like the longest pre-season in living memory the U19s open their competitive campaign at Teversal tonight
The season opens with a trip to Mansfield for the 1st round of the Baris North Midlands U19s League Cup.
The Badgers will be hoping to join Staveley, Handsworth and new boys Basford in securing a place in the 2nd Round. Staveley beat Buxton 2-0 last night while Handsworth overcame Parkgate 3-1. Meanwhile Basford were the 1st giant killers knocking out 1st Division Arnold Town on penalties. Two of the three were away wins which could be a good omen for the young Badgers.
Meanwhile in the league last night Sheffield FC maintained their 100% start to the season winning 3-0 at home against Southwell City who are Retford's first opponents in league action on Sept 26th.
Retford are at almost full strength tonight, however Shaun Nesbitt aggrevated his ankle again while playing for the 1st team at Tadcaster and Ben Parlby's achillies has flaired up again last night in the same game they are the only absentees.
Kick off is at 7.45pm for those who are travelling to the game and all facilities are open as normal at Teversal.
