We have our minis festival on Sunday at Barnton.
Arrive 10:30 for 11am KO,
I have attached to the email newsletter the pitch plan and game orders for your reference.
We still need some help in a few areas.
Can the minis first aiders collect their bags from the clubhouse prior to the first match starting.
I need help in the kitchen serving food for the players and coaches. I anticipate this would be required from around 12:30. About 4 people would be ideal.
Food for selling
Much as the BBQ would be the best choice, it might be easier to sell from the kitchen as all equipment is there.
We plan to do burgers, so 2 helpers from around 11am.
If we have more helpers, this means that everyone spends less time in the kitchen as we can all take turns.
As we all know the hardest part of any event is the point when the party is over, and everyone ids leaving and the mess is left to clear up.
If everyone can do their bit and pick up any rubbish they find lying around and put it in bins, especially on the pitches, as we want to leave Barnton looking as if we have never been there.
Cubhouse / Car Park
The clubhouse will be open from 9am, with the bar open serving tea/coffee from 10:45am.
The car park will be manic, so I would suggest that if you want a space arrive early, or walk to avoid the inevitable jam.
We have around 280 medals and some trophies for participating players, but we could end up short, depending on how many players turn up, so if we look like this will be the case, we will let the visiting teams get awards first, and any shortfall for our teams will be ordered and handed out about a week later.
RHC and Forrester teams will be changing in the clubhouse, and Dunfermline, Penicuik, Lasswade and Livingston, will be in the school changing rooms up next to the Astro.
The P7s are doing some fundraising for their upcoming tour to Forfar. They have produced a family quiz, it's £1 for a sheet and you could win £20! They have also filled a jar with sweets and for 50p you have the chance to guess how many sweets are in there. If you guess correctly, you win them!
Please help support their efforts by buying a quiz sheet and forgetting the untold damage a whole jar of sweets would do to your child's teeth, and let them guess how many are in the jar! The winner of the £20 and the jar of sweets will be announced at the Cougars festival.
These will all be available at the sweet stall on Sunday.
