REARRANGED LEAGUE FIXTURES

Clubs are asked to notify the District Secretary of any rearrangements made to the League Programme so that our records can be updated.

Due to the number of games that have not been played for one reason or another, the League Structure could be reviewed so that those Clubs that have made every effort to fulfill their fixtures could have a competitive structure so that fixtures can be fulfilled. Any proposed changes will be advised before the end of the season.

Concern has been expressed over the failure of Clubs who find themselves unable to fulfill their fixtures notifying their opponents and the appointed match official by no later than 12.30pm on match day. Clubs that have been identified as in breach of this rule will be fined £25 for each occasion they called off late (after 12.30) on match day.

If there is any doubt during the week of being able to fulfill the fixture the earlier you notify your match official and opponents means that alternative appointments and/or fixtures can be sought by all concerned.

We are not asking a lot but just following these basic rules would mean that your opponents can obtain an alternative fixture and the match official can be appointed to another game. With Clubs looking at improving income generation into the Club the lack of fixtures does not help but by playing rugby everybody benefits.
