Point Of Ayr 1 - Rhostyllen 3
Village Strengthen then grip at the top
Rhostyllen moved 4 points clear at the top of division with a 3-1 Victory away at Point of Ayr. The away team started the strongest on the narrow pitch by the coast and were ahead after only 3 minutes when the ball found its way to James Jones inside the box and the his shot found the bottom corner of the net, The village labored towards half time with mis-placed passing and strong challenges being the only thing that happened of note.
The second half started the same as the first and the village found themselves 2 up on 48 minutes when a well worked corner was nodded back across goal and on hand was Rob Gibson to stab home from 3 yards. It was 3 nil to the away team in the 60 minute when another corner was headed home by Lewis Clamp at the near post. The home team did get back into the game when a back pass was missed by the goalkeeper and rolled into the net. It was not enough to stop Rhostyllen picking up all three points.
