Healthy Club Policy

Healthy Club Policy
Rockingham Rugby Union Football Club is committed to providing a service to the communities of the Peel region by creating social and family surroundings in which Rugby Union is developed, promoted and played in a successful, enjoyable and safe environment. This Health Policy is an integral part of the environment that the Club wishes to provide to its members and visitors.

Alcohol and Other Drugs Policy
The RRUFC supports and promotes the provision of a healthy and safe club environment.
It will achieve this by:
Ensuring that the clubhouse facility is a smokefree venue.
Providing a smokefree outside area for members and visitors.
Providing a range of alcohol free, low alcohol and mid strength beverages.
Providing tap water free of charge.
Ensuring compliance with responsible serving of alcohol legislation including no serving
of alcohol to those under 18 years of age.
Supporting and enforcing the RugbyWA Drug Policy.
Forbidding the use of elicit or performance enhancing substances.


Sport Safe Policy
The RRUFC is committed to providing a safe environment for its members to participate in Rugby Union.
It will achieve this by:
Strict adherence to ARU and RugbyWA safety instructions.
Providing qualified coaches for all teams.
Providing first aid support and equipment for all teams.
Provision of qualified sports trainers at training and competitions
Educate players on correct fluid replacement techniques.
Educate players on injury management techniques.
Review and update safety equipment annually.


Food and Catering Policy
The RRUFC Understands and recognises the importance of good nutrition to sports performance.
The RRUFC supports this by:
Providing healthy choices through the Canteen.
Providing healthy food choices at all club functions and events.

All these policies will be reviewed and updated by the RRUFC Committee as part of the annual Business Planning process.
