Rd 4 Mandurah joey carnival
Mandurah Pirates are very proud to be hosting the first Joey Carnival for 2012.
We would like to welcome all clubs, coaches, managers, players and parents to our new facility at Meadow Springs.
When: Saturday 26th May 2012
Where: Oakmont Avenue, Meadow Springs
First Kick Off is 09.00am.
This day will consist of 135 teams from all clubs in the WAJRU competition playing 2 games each.
There will be:
- 30 x Under 6 teams
- 25 x Under 7 teams
- 29 x Under 8 teams
- 25 x Under 9 teams
- 26 x Under 10 teams
All games will be a maximum of 25mins. (2 x 12 min halves)
Under 6s will play 2 games at 12 minute duration
All Under 6s 7s and 8s will play on ¼ size fields. (40m x 25m)
All Under 9s and 10s will play on half size fields. (60m x 35m)
Please refer to the Field layout attached for each age group:
- U6 & U7s will be playing on fields A – F numbered 1 & 2
- U8s will be playing on Fields G – K numbered 1 & 2
- U9s will be playing on Fields A – K
- U10s will be playing on Fields C – K
There will be a siren at every 25 minute interval to signal the end of the games and one every half hour and hourly to announce the start of the new games.
Referees
The team listed first on the draw sheet is to provide the referee for the game.
Field Marshall
There will be a member for the Pirates Rugby Club in attendance to assist with any queries on the day. They will be wearing a fluro vest.
Team Sheets
There will be a team sheet box at the club rooms for the completed team sheets.
Refreshments
The club canteen will be open and selling hot chips, pies, cold drinks etc.
There will be a BBQ for sausages and rolls.
There will be coffee stalls
The Bar will be opened from late morning.
First Aid
Rugby WA will provide St John’s for the day.
Car parking
There will be 3 car parks on the day all on Oakmont Ave:
- One at the club rooms.
- One to the North at the new Primary School
- Over flow potentially on the cricket oval.
Please follow the directions from the parking attendants on the day.
Please avoid parking across driveway and the footpaths.
Finding the grounds
Travelling south on the Kwinana freeway exit at the new Mandurah entrance road. (Mandjoogoordap Rd)
(Driving along this you will pass the grounds on your right)
Exit left onto Education Drive then turn left onto Gordon Rd
At the next traffic lights turn right into Semillon Ave.
Turn right at the roundabout into Oakmont Ave.
