Romulus boss Richard Evans secured a major coup for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South run-in this week by signing goalkeeper Lee Evans as a free agent. The experienced stopper was a regular with Chasetown and Stafford Rangers before linking up with Blue Square Bet Premier club AFC Telford United in the summer.
Having had limited opportunities at the Bucks Head, Evans moved on to Leamington, but has recently become available again with Evans swooping to sign the highly-rated ‘keeper.
The Roms boss said: “We’re delighted to get hold of Lee – he will bring a lot of experience to the backline and help to make us solid – he is a quality ‘keeper.”
Evans is set to make his debut this weekend as the Roms make their longest trip of the season to Brigg Town
