A Polite notice to all Spectators

As a club we are responsible for the actions of all players, club officials and spectators that are present on a match-day. There has been a steady increase in the number of disciplinary incidents - some of a very serious nature - at all levels of football occuring within the grounds.

Many of these incidents have involved dissent, intimidation and even physical violence towards Referees and their Assistants, with the result that the officials are saying that ‘ENOUGH IS ENOUGH’ and we face the prospect of having fewer or even no officials to officiate at matches (and so therefore no matches) within the foreseeable future. Whilst it is realised that 99% of local football spectators are present to enjoy the game as well as the fresh air on a Saturday afternoon, or Tuesday evening, any ‘disturbance’ is seen as transmitting itself onto the pitch and often contributing to the deteriorating situation.
