A mini tour of Wales was arranged for the club through Ian's connections and 2 games in 2 days saw a 4-4 draw against Welsh Alliance League Champions Bethesda Utd on the Saturday afternoon and a 5-0 win against Halkyn Utd also of the Welsh Alliance the following Sunday morning. This proved to be such a great bonding session for the club between players and committee, that it was decided that, so long as it is financially possible, this would become a regular event.

For the 2nd team there was a change in management. Jack Brown along with Keith Bell took over the mantle after the previous managers stepped down. A new manager was appointed to Under-17's in the shape of Jonathan Sadler, who had progressed through the Junior set-up in the Village. He would be assisted by Brian Gilbride.

For the 1st team it was another indifferent start to the season but after an enforced winter break due to the weather they stormed back up the table to finish just outside the Presidents Cup qualification in 10th with a points total of 42, losing on the final day to League Runners-up Brighouse Town.

The 2nd team took their fight for the title right up to the final weeks of the season only to fade away at the end with teams having games in hand and they finished their season in 6th.

Again the Under-17's kept pace with the leaders until the last 2 games when astonishingly, with runners-up place in their grasp, they decided that they did not want to play the games and ended their season prematurely and end up finishing in 3rd.
