The club is delighted to announce the appointment of Lee Holmes as our 1st team Manager.
Lee 27 is a Rossington Lad who came through to play for Main from spending his earlier years honing his skills in the Junior teams at Rossington. Later, Lee spent time at Ipswich Town, Retford United ,Worksop Parramore and Staveley Before re joining Main in 2013.
As a player Lee is Rossington Main's leading scorer and still hopes to continue helping to show our young squad how to finish.
Lee will be assisted by our existing coach Mr Andy Cowe who will offer his experience to our young Manager and team.
As Chairman I believe Lee will bring in a lot of the attributes we enjoyed with outgoing manager Steve Brennan, I’m sure Lee learned a lot from Steve, but having said that I'm sure Lee will stamp his own personality on the team.
Lee and his management team will be working very closely with our Development Team Manager, Dave Burley and our new Under 19’s team managed by Malcom Tuck and his assistant Kevin Cooper.
We will start the season with a very young squad with an average age of 19.7, the only way I can see this rising is to play half of our committee. Seriously though they may be young, but already other clubs have been eyeing up a few of our lads "hands off guys"
The committee and I wish Lee and his team all the very best for the forthcoming season and look forwards to being entertained with attractive football.
