A look ahead to the weekends action (HOPEFULLY)

Despite the snow and cold extremes, the main continue to prepare for the weekend. Although training had to be cancelled last night, Steve Lodge has been busily arranging for Saturdays proposed trip to Bradford.

The 1st XI should be travelling to Bradford to play Eccleshill United who sit one place and one point above the Main in 7th. Both clubs have seen a slight dip in form, losing their last two games. Eccleshill lost out to Pontefract and Handsworth, as the Main were beaten by Hallam and Dinnington.

The Main look to be able to field a strong side for the weekend with no injury worries, but defender Shaun Pendleton is away on holiday.

The 2nd XI have no fixture this weekend but have a massive game next week. They play a very strong Yorkshire Main outfit (Edlington) of the central midlands league. Last year they were one of Doncasters best and most decorated sides, winning their league plus a cup or two! The Main will have their hands full when they travel to Edlington next week.
